Propel: 6-Month Journey @ a Leading Automotive Components Manufacturer | 2025

Program Overview
The automotive industry doesn’t wait for anyone. Market shifts happen overnight, customer expectations evolve constantly, and supply chains face unprecedented challenges. In this environment, managers who can only execute well aren’t enough—you need leaders who can see around corners and make strategic decisions that position the business for what’s coming next.
A leading automotive manufacturer understood this reality and partnered with GlobalGyan to develop the strategic capabilities of their mid-to-senior leaders. They weren’t just looking to improve performance—they wanted to fundamentally change how their managers think about their role and their impact on the business.
The PROPEL Leadership Program was designed as a comprehensive 6-month journey that transforms good operators into strategic leaders. Rather than treating strategy as something that happens in boardrooms, the program helped participants understand how strategic thinking applies to every decision they make—and how their daily choices either advance or undermine the company’s long-term success.

Key Themes Covered
1. Strategic Thinking in Action
We helped participants break out of the day-to-day execution mindset and start connecting the dots between their team’s work and the company’s strategic objectives. It’s about learning to ask “why does this matter?” and “how does this move us forward?” instead of just “how do we get this done?”
2. Financial Acumen for Non-Finance Leaders
Numbers tell the story of every business decision, but most managers speak operations, not finance. We decoded financial statements, explained what really drives profitability, and gave participants the confidence to engage in business discussions with the CFO and other senior leaders as equals.
3. Leading with Influence (Not Just Authority)
In today’s matrix organizations, the most important work happens across functions, not within them. Participants learned how to build coalitions, influence peers who don’t report to them, and get things done through relationships and credibility rather than just pulling rank.
4. Decision-Making in Uncertain Environments
Perfect information is a luxury most managers don’t have. We taught participants how to make smart decisions with incomplete data, evaluate trade-offs systematically, and move forward confidently even when the path isn’t completely clear. It’s about being decisive without being reckless.
5. Customer-Centric Strategy Execution
Strategy only matters if it creates value for customers. We helped participants understand their business from the outside in—what customers really value, how that translates into operational priorities, and how to align their teams around delivering experiences that matter.
6. Coaching Conversations & Peer Reflection
The best leaders are also the best learners. Through structured coaching sessions and peer feedback, participants developed the habit of reflection and continuous improvement. They learned to see challenges as learning opportunities and to help others do the same.
