Program Overview

Healthcare solutions is an industry where technical expertise alone isn’t enough—success requires leaders who can think strategically about market dynamics, understand competitive positioning, and make decisions that balance clinical efficacy with commercial reality. Yet many early-career managers in this space find themselves promoted based on functional excellence without the business acumen needed to navigate complex organizational challenges.

The iCAP (Indegene Capability Acceleration Program) was designed to bridge this critical gap. Over four years, the program has transformed early-career managers from functional specialists into strategically-minded leaders who understand how their decisions ripple through market dynamics, customer relationships, and organizational performance.

The challenge was specific: these rising managers needed foundational business thinking that went beyond their immediate expertise, structured decision-making frameworks that worked in ambiguous situations, and the confidence to contribute meaningfully to conversations about market positioning and strategic direction. Most importantly, they needed to develop an outside-in perspective that connected external market forces with internal business levers.
